서울국제음식영화제

1929년 안성 출생, 서울대학교에서 교육학을 전공했다. 한국 전쟁 당시 통역 장교로 근무하고, 휴전 이후 국방부 정훈국에 배치되어 전사 편찬 작업을 하다가 그 즈음 신설된 영화과로 옮기며 영화와 인연을 맺게 된다. 군대를 전역하고 본격적인 영화 연출의 길로 나선다 1958년 <공처가>로 데뷔한 이후 <갯마을>(1964), <허튼소리>(1986) 등 100여 편의 작품을 연출했다. 연출작 가운데 제13회 대종상영화제 감독상 수상작인 <안개>(1967), <야행>(1977), <화려한 외출>(1977), <만추>(1981) 등은 1960, 1970년대 한국 영화사 속의 대표적인 모더니즘 영화로 평가받기도 한다. 

Born in Anseong in 1929, Kim majored in education at Seoul National University. During the Korean War, he served as an interpreter officer. After the armistice, he was assigned to the Ministry of National Defense's Political Training Bureau and worked on transcription compilation. Then he moved to the newly established Film Department, where he started his film career. After he was discharged from the military, he embarked on a full-fledged career in film directing. After making his debut in 1958 with <A Henpecked Husband >, he directed more than 100 films including <The Seaside Village> (1964) and <Jung-kwang′s Nonsense> (1986). His directorial works such as <The Fog> (1967) – Best Director Award winner of the 13^th Daejong Film Festival, <Night Travel> (1977), <Glorious Outing> (1977), and <Late Autumn> (1981), are considered as representative modernist films in Korean film history in the 1960s and 1970s.
