시놉시스Synopsis
“요리는 정성이다” 가족 식사를 위해 열정적으로 냄비와 프라이팬을 돌리는 어머니의 지론이다. 음식과 대대로 내려온 요리법을 통해 개인의 역사가 애정의 몸짓과 가족의 화합과 어우러진다. <거창한 한 끼>는 대가를 바라지 않고 끊임없이 우리를 먹이고 보살펴주는 이름 없는 영웅들에 대한 시각적 찬사이다.
“Cooking is caring” says my mother while she enthusiastically juggles pots and pans preparing a family meal. Using food and passed down recipes, personal history is interwoven with gestures of affection and familial unity. A visual ode to the unsung heroes who repeatedly feed and care for us without asking for anything in return.
감독Director
포르투갈 출신으로 건축학을 전공한 마팔다 감독은 영화, 애니메이션, 드로잉을 활용해 다큐멘터리와 민족지학을 탐구하고 있다. 공동체, 정체성, 전통에 관한 이야기를 전하는 것이 그녀의 목표이다. 그녀의 단편 애니메이션 다큐멘터리 <거창한 한 끼>는 2022년 인디리스보아에서 프리미어로 상영되었다. 전 세계에 소개된 이 작품은 Ymotion에서 최우수 애니메이션상을, Mdoc에서 최우수 영화 포스터상을 수상했다. 뉴욕타임스와 옵세르바도르 라이프스타일에 필진으로도 활동했다.
Mafalda Salgueiro (Alentejo, Portugal) is based in Porto. Trained in architecture, she approaches documentary and ethnography using film, animation and drawing. Her goal is to tell stories about community, identity and tradition. She premiered Comezainas (Nosh-up), a short animation documentary at IndieLisboa in 2022. Exhibited internationally, and awarded The Best Animation at Ymotion, and for Best Movie Poster at Mdoc. Mafalda’s also contributed to The New York Times and Observador Lifestyle.
