폴 홀브룩은 브리스톨 남부의 가난한 지역에서 나고 자란 노동자 계급 출신의 작가이자 영화 감독이다. 다수의 수상을 한 그의 작품들은 극적이고 풍부한 스토리텔링과 현실감이 살아 있는 배경 설정, 개성 넘치고 다양한 성격의 인물 등이 두드러진 특징이다. 작가로 출발한 그는 다수의 권위 있는 시나리오 공모전에서 수상하며 주목을 받았으며, 그가 연출한 단편영화들은 세계 수많은 영화제에 상영되거나 수상했다. 그는 현재 장편 데뷔작을 준비 중이다. 
Paul is a working-class writer and filmmaker who grew up on a rough, poverty-stricken council estate in the South of Bristol. His multi-award-winning work showcases his eye for dramatic, rich storytelling and an ability to craft memorable and diverse characters in a grounded, authentic, real-world setting. Paul has made encouraging progress thus far in his career, making the shortlists of prestigious screenwriting competitions and his short films screened all over the world, winning many awards along the way. Paul is currently working towards his first feature.
