시놉시스Synopsis
2007년 15살이 되던 해 채영은 극단적인 식사 거부로 몇 달 사이 체중이 20kg 넘게 빠지면서 거식증 진단을 받는다. 엄마 상옥은 딸의 증상이 오롯이 자신의 책임이라 믿고 치료에 전념하지만, 완치될 수 있다는 희망을 뒤로하고 퇴원 후 채영의 증상은 거식에서 폭식으로 변이한다. 10년이 넘는 세월이 흐르고, 채영은 병과 함께 살아가면서도 행복할 수 있는 삶의 방법을 찾아 나서고, 상옥은 여전히 풀리지 않는 병의 기원을 찾기 위해 자신의 과거를 탐색한다. 27회 부산국제영화제 BIFF 메세나상 수상작.
Chae-young, who has lived with an eating disorder for 15 years, leaves behind the goal of full recovery and searches for a way to embrace her condition. Sang-ok, Chae-young's mother, who still has not found the cause of her daughter's anorexia, grapples with her own past to find the origin of her daughter's illness. <A Table for Two> (2022) is Kim’s second feature length documentary, which won BIFF Mecenat Award at the 27th Busan Int’l Film Festival.

대학에서 문학을 전공했다. 2017년 제작한 장편 다큐멘터리 영화 <피의 연대기>로 서울독립영화제 새로운 시선상, 2019년 들꽃영화상 민들레꽃상을 수상했다. 단편 극영화 <자매들의 밤>으로 서울국제노인영화제 청년감독대상을 수상했으며, 대구 단편영화제, 서울독립영화제 등에 초청받았다. 2021년 단편 <내 코가 석재>로 부천국제판타스틱영화제 관객상, 광화문국제단편영화제 심사위원 특별상을 수상했다. <두 사람을 위한 식탁>은 두 번째 장편 다큐멘터리이고 27회 부산국제영화제에서 BIFF 메세나상을 수상했다.
Studied literature in college. Her documentary debut, <For Vagina's Sake> (2017), won the New Perspective Award at the 2017 Seoul Independent Film Festival and the Dandelion Award at the 2019 Wildflower Film Awards Korea. Her film, <A Silent Night> (2020), won the Grand Prize for Junior Director at 2022 Seoul Intl. Senior Film Festival, and was screened at Daegu Independent Film Festival, Seoul Independent Film Festival, and others. <A Table for Two> (2022) is her second feature length documentary, which won BIFF Mecenat Award at the 27th Busan Int’l Film Festival.
