시놉시스Synopsis
먹는 것을 보면 그 사람을 알 수 있다는 말이 있다. 이 말 그대로 사람들이 자신이 가장 많이 먹는 음식과 비슷한 모습을 보이는 세상이 있다. 이곳에 새로 온 한 사람. 그가 다른 먹거리를 먹게 되면서 그 결과 역시 드러나기 시작하고 세상은 혼란에 빠지게 된다. 욕망과 이성 사이의 싸움이 시작된다.
You are what you eat. In a world where people start to look like the thing they eat the most of, you can take this quite literally. When a newcomer prefers different eating habits, the visible consequences turn the world upside down. It’s a battle between desire and rationality.
감독Director
수상 경력을 가진 영화감독이자 애니메이션 아티스트이다. 그의 애니메이션 <Life Smartphone>은 제44회 학생 아카데미상에서 금메달 수상작으로, 제90회 아카데미상 최우수 애니메이션 단편 후보, 제43회 국제애니메이션협회 애니상 후보에 올랐으며, 2016년 선댄스영화제, 안시국제애니메이션페스티벌 등에서 상영되기도 했다. 최신작인 단편 애니메이션 <접시 위 식사>는 2022년 선댄스영화제 공식 초청작이다.
XIE Chenglin is an award-winning filmmaker and animation artist. His animation, Life Smartphone, won Gold Medal of 44th Student Academy Awards® , was in shortlist for Best Animated Shorts of 90th Academy Awards® , was nominated for 43rd Annie Award, and was selected by many film festivals, including 2016 Sundance film festival, Annecy international animation festival, etc. Chenglin's newest animated short film, <Meal on the Plate>, is officially selected by 2022 Sundance Film Festival.
