시놉시스Synopsis
아들을 둔 이혼남이자 가게를 돌며 보호료를 받는 타오보는 끔찍한 하루를 보내고 있다. 전처는 그가 아들을 만나는 것을 허락해 주지 않는 데다 성인용품 가게 주인에겐 받을 돈도 못 받고 있다. 마피아 보스의 시달림 속에서 믿을 거라고는 훠궈 식당뿐. 그는 식당 주인 차오쥔에게 주먹질을 하던 중 9살 생일 식사를 위해 친구와 함께 식당을 찾은 아들 타오이와 우연히 마주친다. 그 순간 아들의 생일을 깜빡했다는 걸 깨닫게 된 타오보. 설상가상 훠궈 식당 주인의 아들은 타오이의 친구였다.
Tao Bo, a protection racket collector and a divorced father, is having an awful day. His ex-wife won't let him visit his son and he also failed to get money from a sex toy owner. Due to the pressure from the mafia boss, Tao Bo is counting on this hotpot restaurant. While beating the restaurant owner Cao Jun, he accidentally bumped into his son, Tao Yi, who is coming to the restaurant with his friend for his 9 year old birthday dinner. Tao Bo realizes that he has forgotten his son's birthday. Also, Tao Yi's friend is the son of the owner of this restaurant.
감독Director
홍콩 출신의 영화감독. 에머슨 칼리지에서 시각 미디어 아트로 학사 학위를 받았다. 중국으로 돌아온 후에는 북경전영학원에서 1년 동안 연출을 집중적으로 공부했다. 재학 중 여러 편의 단편 영화를 연출하고 공동 제작했다. 그는 사람들이 많이 주목하지 않는 색다른 문화와 소재를 발견하는 것들 좋아한다. 유머와 긴장감을 적절히 활용하고 다양한 스토리라인으로 이야기를 전달하는데 탁월한 감독이기도 하다.
YIM Yu Hei is a filmmaker from Hong Kong, China. Graduated with a Bachelor of Art degree in Visual Media Art from Emerson College. After returning to China, he spent a year studying at Beijing Film Academy, focus in Directing. He had directed and co-produced multiple short films during his time at school. He loves to discover different cultures and stories that are barely talked about by people. He is good at using humor and tension, and multiple storylines to tell stories.
